About us
Hotel and Restaurant Fakkelgaarden has a long and exciting history that dates back to 1936, when the buildings housed “Grænsehjemmet” – a cultural gathering place in Southern Jutland.
Over time, the place has been the setting for everything from youth culture to dramatic events during World War II.
In 1992, the buildings were carefully restored and reopened as Hotel and Restaurant Fakkelgaarden.
Here, historic atmosphere and modern hospitality meet in beautiful surroundings by Flensborg Fjord.
Today, Fakkelgaarden is known as an exclusive place for gastronomy, accommodation, parties and unforgettable experiences.
