We’re kicking off 2026 with a bang of a chef’s evening!
Sunday the 1st. January 25, 2026 at 5:00 PM

We will be visited by some of the country’s greatest culinary icons, each of whom has had a huge impact on Danish gastronomy.

Together with Fakkelgaarden’s own chef, STEFFEN SNITGAARD , we will pay tribute to the great classics. It will be a journey through time with special signature dishes from the classic cuisine. Exclusive ingredients such as black winter truffle, spiny lobster, beef tenderloin and stewed sauces will be found on the menu.

Michel Michaud
A true master who helped start Falsled Kro in the early 70s, Kong Hans in the 80s and later Søllerød Kro and Marie Louise in the 00s. Later he became one of the driving forces at Ruths Hotel. Michaud has always stood for classic French cuisine with a strong focus on the quality of the ingredients, a flair for his fantastic, intense sauces and lots of classics in his repertoire.

Thomas Pasfall
Former court chef on the Royal Navy ship Dannebrog, Chef of the Year in 2000 and winner of Restaurant of the Year with Munkebo Kro in 2004. In his younger years he worked at Michelin in Wiesbaden, Germany. Thomas has trained a sea of ​​talented chefs and inspired many to work at some of the country’s best restaurants. He is also a sommelier and takes pride in combining wine and food to create the perfect match.

Per Thostesen
Danish master chef and owner of Bistro Boheme. Named “Chef of the Chefs” in 2015. He has worked with French gastronomy and fine ingredients for decades. Thøstesen has an impressive career behind him, which includes employment as sous chef under the famous chef Paul Bocuse. At the same time, he was the chef for the Danish national football team for over 20 years and followed the team through seven final rounds.

Michel Michaud’s signature cake “Gateau Marcel” is served to overnight guests for afternoon coffee at 3:00 p.m.
